King Wood Headboard
Bring out the best in your favorite room with a beautiful, king size headboard. Styles, material and colors to suit everyone!
Bedrooms are a focal point of any home, and nowadays the trend in beds is heading increasingly more in the direction of: if it can fit in your bedroom then why not buy it. Statistics from leading bed manufacturers show that orders for king-sized beds are on a constant increase. Every bed, wooden or not, should have its own headboard, and there are many styles and shapes to choose from.
A King wood headboard will always grace a room, and provides a solid feel either as part of a set or in a stand-alone situation. These days many bedrooms have walk-in closets instead of wardrobes, and even separate dressing rooms, so there is less of a need for wooden beds to match the rest of the furniture in the room. Sitting on a wooden floor, with a few throw rugs scattered around, the effects of this décor can be spectacular.
Wooden headboards can either be traditional or modern and are produced from a wide choice of traditional woods: teak, cherry mahogany, oak, maple, walnut, birch and cherry, and that new favourite, pine. No matter what developments have taken place in furniture design over the last few years, wood still holds its place as the most common material in furniture manufacturing and deservedly so. It is blessed with natural properties that are difficult, if not impossible, to emulate, in addition to being incredibly durable.
Once the wood has been chosen, then the next stage is to settle for a particular design. If there is bedroom furniture already in the room, then it is best not to veer too far away from its design. If you want to make a statement then you can, and there are many avenues to go down in King wooden headboard design.
If you choose the traditional design route then the world is your oyster, from American Colonial in either maple or pine, to antiques styles in oak or walnut, to modern and contemporary which look really great in cherry mahogany or teak.
Developments in production furniture have given designers much more freedom in creativeness, and the latest highly sophisticated wood-turning equipment that you will find in most modern furniture factories allow for hand crafted effects at a very competitive price.
Nowadays, the pick of designs and finishes for King wooden headboards is almost unlimited, and if this is the direction that your choice of headboard is heading, you will be literally be spoiled for choice.

Nice post, some interesting information. Think I’ll go with wood. I want one of those wooden ones with a little shelf inside for me to keep my glasses/lip balm/books and anything else I tend to wake up and find in my bed.
Bed headboards can totally change and improve the aspect of your bedroom. They are also very practical because they offer support when reading, watching a movie or having breakfast in bed. Wooden headboards offer a cozy feeling to your entire room and can get you into that relaxed state you need to sleep better.
I never realized there were so many different styles and materials to choose from for a bed headboard until reading this information. Perhaps it is just something I’ve taken for granted because thinking back on it now I do remember noticing this fact even though it never really registered at the time.
Excellent information. While figuring out how best to arrange my bedroom furniture and deciding what pieces I absolutely need to make it complete, the information shared within this blog will certainly be a huge help to me.
I have a contemporary metal headboard and it looked really great in my room but now my girlfriend is moving in with me and we’re going to redecorate. She hates the headboard I have now and wants a fabric or wooden modern one. At least we can see what options we have.
